ECLD recently hosted a Traveling Tetaveaveat at the village of Tobimonga in Placerita Canyon, bringing families together for a day of learning, movement, and connection to the land. Participants engaged in an educational hike through the canyon, where they explored the natural environment, shared stories, and deepened their understanding of local history and ecology. The day concluded with an engaging animal presentation that delighted families while reinforcing respect for wildlife and the importance of environmental stewardship.
This event also highlighted the value of our partnership with LA County Parks and Recreation, which is incredibly important to us. Working together allows us to create meaningful, accessible cultural and educational experiences in our local parks and natural spaces. Through this collaboration, we are able to reach more families, enrich community programming, and ensure these shared lands continue to be spaces for learning, culture, and connection for generations to come.
