Magdalyne Romero

DIRECTOR,
Education & Cultural Learning Department

Romero holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a master’s in museum studies with an emphasis on informal education.

Vanessa Loy

MANAGER,
Extension Division

Loy holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in environmental studies. Through these programs she built her understanding of Tribal Law.

Moncada received her B.A. in Anthropology from UC Berkeley and has over 10 years of experience working in both formal and informal education settings.

The Education and Cultural Learning Department is established and overseen by the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians, a native sovereign nation of northern Los Angeles County. Within the Tribal Senate, the Education and Cultural Learning Committee, composed of the Tribe’s Senators, oversees the Department’s goals and objectives.
