| Families finished up one of our most creative workshops this last month; our Beaded Baseball Hat Workshop. Youth, parents and community gathered together to learn the art of edge-beading from Brighid Pulskamp of the Navajo Nation Diné. Beaders of different experience levels worked diligently to practice this important skill. Over the course of a few weeks, what started as simple strands of beads, weaved together to create unique art that was a statement to style and personality. |

The Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians is a native sovereign nation of Northern Los Angeles County with historic ties to Mission San Fernando. Their traditional, historic, and ancestral tribal territory encompasses four valleys: the San Fernando, Simi, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys. Today, the Tribal Administration Office is located in San Fernando, California.
