Items Needed
- Forks – long tines (to fry bread)
- Mixing bowls
- Cleaner for stove
- Dishtowel, large (to cover the dough balls)
- Salt/pepper, garlic salt
- Bowl with aluminum foil (*put frybread in)
- Paper towel x1 – absorb grease
- Apron
- Deep pot OR long sterno tray to cook in.
- Bowl or trays (flat & alum) – 1) dough balls & 2) put cooked frybread in.
- Pot/small – cook ground beef & heat up beans
- Measure cups
- Food handlers gloves
Make sure you have everything you need before getting started!
Ingredients
1. GOLD MEDAL Self-rising flour, 5 lb
2. Oil – vegetable, large (Not corn, nor peanut, nor lard)
3. Pinto beans (not Rosarita brand) *Cook fresh ones, night before class.
4. Ground beef 2 LB
5. Taco seasoning mix, packets 1 oz. (per # of lbs beef)
6. Tomato, roma, fresh x2
7. Lettuce, fresh x1
8. Cheese (pre-shred)
9. Tapatio sauce
10. Paper towels
For larger quantity, substitute:
• Flour to 25 lb bag
• Oil to 1 gallon
Toppings

- 1 pinto & refried beans

- tomato
- cheese
Tips
- WATCH OUT, the oil is very hot.
- Lay down your dough gently to prevent hot oil splashes!
- Let the dough sit
- Cover with a washcloth and let the dough rise
- This recipe feeds up to 5 people! Double the recipe for more.
