Camp TAMIT: Summer Day Camp

Camp TAMIT was held 3 days a week for 7 weeks from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). The camp location was at Rudy Ortega Sr. Park, 2025 Fourth Street, San Fernando, CA 91340.

Camp TAMIT has consisted of activities, such swimming, field trips, athletics, healthy food, beverages, and popular films with the emphasis of incorporating Native culture in the program.

As part of Camp TAMIT, ECLD offers a special leadership opportunity that is available to teenagers between the ages of 14-16 years old. The Volunteen position offers professional development with leadership, communication, and adaptability skills throughout camp. We encourage caregivers to enter their youth as Volunteens, not only for the reduced rate of attendance, but also for the professional and academic outcomes like employment resumes and scholarship applications.
